DETECTIVES have launched a manhunt after two nine-year-old girls were targeted by a ‘flasher’ in West Craven.
Police said the ordeal, near Brook Street car park in Barnoldswick, lasted for up to 10 minutes.
Shoppers and workers are now being asked to help Pendle CID track down the pervert.
Det Con Richie Hall, who is investigating the incident, said: “The incident lasted for approximately 10 minutes and involved a man exposing himself to two nine-year-old girls.”
The incident is said to have occurred behind the Help The Aged charity shop and police are trying to establish the man's movements before and after the incident, at around 3.40pm on Thursday, November 3.
Police are looking for a man aged around 50, who was wearing a dark hat and jacket.
He also wore blue tracksuit bottoms, possibly branded Adidas.
Det Con Hall and Det Con Steve Acres have also issued a brief description of the two girls, in the hope that it may refresh potential witnesses’ memories.
One was said to be wearing a pink coat and her friend was said to be wearing a blue coat.
Call Pendle CID on 01282 472241 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
