FURTHER steps are to be taken to deal with pigeon problems in Barnoldswick town centre.
The West Craven Area Committee is to launch a campaign of public awareness aimed at deterring the birds from nesting in and around the town square.
Coun David Whipp said: “We are going to erect some simple signs telling people not to feed the pigeons.”
A report from Pendle’s acting environmental health services manager said installing the signs would cost £450.
Coun Whipp said a previous idea to give pigeons a “contraceptive pill” was shelved because it could inhibit the life cycles of other birds.
