Woman’s handbag snatched in street in Barnoldswick

A 79-YEAR-OLD woman had her handbag snatched while she was shopping in Barnoldswick.

Police said the woman was walking along Albert Road when the thieves struck at around 11am on Thursday.

The offenders snatched her black leather handbag containing around £120 in cash, officers said.

Police are now seeking three people suspected of stealing the bag.

The first offender is described as an Asian woman in her late teens, with dark collar-length hair and of a slim build.

One of her accomplices is described as a heavily pregnant Asian woman in her 30s, with dark shoulder-length hair. They were with an Asian man.
