THE arrival of a beach in an East Lancashire town was so popular it reopened on Sunday.
Barnoldswick’s Golden Mile has again taken over the Town Square, dubbed “Britain’s best inland beach”.
MORE TOP STORIES:
As you would expect, there were donkey rides for the little ones, a surf simulator, treasure trails and a crafty corner.
There was even a performance by Barlick Brass Band and organisers hastily arranged for the event to run an extra day.
A spokesman for the event said: “Due to popular demand, and through a generous offer of some extra volunteering, Barnoldswick Beach was open on Sunday.”
Barnoldswick Beach is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday until August 30.
It is free – organisers are collecting for Barnoldswick in Bloom with a suggested donation of £1 for each child.
