SUPPORTERS of Colne Gala battled back against adversity to smile through the rain on Saturday at Holt House playing fields.
An 11th-hour withdrawal of various dance troupes hit the procession for the annual spectacular but a host of community groups, led by gala queen Davinia Barwell and princess Hollie Mattinson, still sparkled.
