WITNESSES are being sought to a rush hour road rage incident which ended in a man being kicked in the head.
The assault happened on North Valley Road in Colne as traffic came to a standstill near to the roundabout.
Police said that two vehicles, a black Vauxhall Vectra and a black Nissan Navara were travelling along Vivary Way in Colne through heavy traffic.
A police spokesman said: “Both drivers and one passenger got out of their cars and the three of them became involved in a verbal altercation.
“The victim was then head butted and punched before falling to the floor and being kicked in the head. The two other men then walked back to their car and left the scene.
“The victim suffered a cut to his head for which he received hospital treatment and officers investigating the assault are urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault and have not yet spoken to police to contact them.”
The incident took place on May 23.
