Drunken Nelson yob banned from every pub in Pendle

BANNED Adam Bell BANNED Adam Bell

A DRUNKEN yob has been banned from every pub in Pendle after admitting a catalogue of offences.

Adam Bell, of Castle Street, Nelson was given a Drink Banning Order after magistrates were told he had breached a previous ban from all of his home town’s pubs on ‘numerous occsasions’.

At Burnley Magistrates Court the 35-year-old was handed the ban and was also sentenced 12 month community order and 12 months supervision requirement.

He pleaded guilty to criminal damage and sending malicious text messages to an ex girlfriend.

One of his latest incidents saw him smash a window at the Lord Nelson pub in Manchester Road on January 5.

Sgt Michelle Dixon said: “Bell has been banned from the town’s pubs under the PubWatch scheme, but has breached this on numerous occasions.

“Drink Banning Orders are an additional tool to help us tackle alcohol fuelled crime and disorder. They support the successful Pubwatch schemes which are in place across the Division and stop those people who are well known to the police and licensees from causing harm to members of the public whilst making them face up to their actions.

“I hope this case acts as a warning to trouble makers that alcohol fuelled violence will not be tolerated.”

Drink Banning Orders can see yobs, who are convicted of alcohol related offences, being banned from drinking alcohol in the town’s pubs and clubs for up to two years and fined up to £2,500.

Mick Armfield, from Pendle Council, said: “The implementation of this ban will send out a clear message to other problematic members of the public that there is no place for troublemakers in licensed premises within Pendle.”

He was banned before under Pubwatch, but carried on drinking. Now he's been banned with a Drink Banning Order, which if broken can see a fine of £2,500. What do you reckon the chances of him breaking this new order are then?

What a pathetic waste of our already stretched resources eh. Just being realistic, society as a whole would be far far better off if he were dead. He's costs us a fortune and no doubt revels in acting hard to poor unfortunate members of the public. Effectively he is a complete parasite on society - only ever taking and causing misery. That's the sad truth here.

Here's some food for thought - you never ever read about problem cannabis users do you? Yet you read all the time about problem drinkers causing life changing misery. That booze needs some healthy competition and no mistake.

If this Adam Bell here had been smoking a peace promoting fat one after another, rather than downing a violence inducing pint after another, then you wouldn't have heard a peep out of him. Everyone happy.

Instead we have Pubwatch / Drink Banning Orders and a whole load of broken glass, smashed faces and frightened innocent members of the public - or at the very least, countless people having their own nights out completely spoilt by bullying kids like this who can't handle their ale.

Piece of black tarmac walks into a bar and shouts 'I'm the hardest bast4rd in here'. Barman say's 'calm down mate course you are, you're a piece of tarmac! Then a piece of red tarmac walks in and say's 'I'll fight any fcuker in here. Who wants a beating? Black tarmac stays silent. The barman says to black tarmac 'Why didn't you say anything? I thought you wanted a fight? Black tarmac replies 'I'm not messing with that red fcuker.he's a cyclepath.
