A MAN needed hospital treatment after being assaulted outside a bar.
The 18-year-old Nelson man was punched in Gisburn Road, Barrowford, after leaving the Residence pub at around 10.30pm on Friday.
He was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with cuts and bruises, police said.
Police quizzed a 19-year-old man, also from Nelson, on suspicion of assault following the incident.
He has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector Simon Cheyte, from Pennine CID, urged witnesses to come forward.
The Residence is currently in the middle of a licence review by Pendle Council after fed-up neighbours complained about noise and disturbances.
Bar owner Punch Taverns said it operated its pubs 'responsibly'.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 01282 472644 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
