A COMMUNICATIONS firm is to create 150 new jobs when its second building opens in January.

Daisy Group, based on the Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, Nelson, already employs 280 people at Daisy House and is now looking for new starters in the local area.

The new jobs would make it one of the top six employers in Pendle, alongside the likes of Rolls-Royce, Silentnight and Boundary Mill.

Hazel Warhurst, Daisy’s head of human resources, said: “There has never been a better time to join Daisy.

“The majority of our employees live in the Pendle and Burnley area and that is the key area for our current search for employees.

“If you don’t drive, don’t worry, we may be able to buddy you up with an employee who does through our car-share scheme or advise you on the best bus or train route to the office.”

Of the 280 people already employed by the company, 70 per cent are from East Lancashire.

Daisy was floated on the Alternative Investment Market in June, and has since grown significantly in both capability and scale.

Since the flotation, Daisy has taken over three companies and doubled its customer base, making it the fastest-growing technology com-pany in the UK.

Daisy CEO Matt Riley was brought up and still lives in Pendle and said he was happy to be able to give something back to the community.

He said: “Daisy has always remained loyal to its Pendle roots and it is very exciting for us to be able to offer local people good, stable jobs.

“I think anyone coming down to Daisy House to find out what we’re really about will be impressed by what they see.

“And don’t just take my word for it – ask the hundreds who work here what they think.”
