CARS were set on fire across East Lancashire this morning.
Fire crews were called to two separate incidents in Blackthorn Close in Blackburn and Regent Street, Nelson at 1.40am and 2.10am.
Crews in Nelson found the fire had started in the car's engine.
Both fires, which are not believed to be linked, were put out by crews using one hose reel.
A fire service spokesman said the fire in Nelson was believed to have been started deliberately and an investigation is underway to find the cause of the fire in Blackburn.
