SWIMMERS have been invited to take part in an annual swimming challenge this month.
Pendle Leisure Trust staff have asked people to take the plunge and get involved in the 'world’s biggest' annual fundraising swim.
The Swimathon, based in Colne, is open to teams and individuals with a choice of challenges - 400m, 1.5kms, 2.5kms, 5kms and there will be a Corporate Challenge for work colleagues.
There is also the MySwimathon Challenge for people who want to swim their own distance in their own time.
Samantha Lamb, assistant manager at Pendle Leisure Centre, said: "Swimathon 2018 is a perfect way to keep fit, have fun and raise money for a fantastic cause all at the same time.”
The challenge will start between 7pm and 10pm on Friday, April 27 at Pendle Leisure Centre in Crown Way, Colne.
It will run until April 29 and funds raised will be donated to Marie Curie and Cancer Research UK.
