THE future of a railway interchange could be determined by a public consultation.
Lancashire County Council is set to launch a public consultation into Lancashire County Council's controversial decision to close the Clitheroe interchange.
County Hall chiefs have slashed their budgets and the information centres in Clitheroe, Nelson and Preston face the axe.
If the county council's proposal is passed, transport users will not be able to buy tickets from the interchanges listed.
Last month Ribble Valley council leader Ken Hind said: "On behalf of all concerned I urge all rail and bus users utilising the Clitheroe interchange to take part in the consultation to press the County Council to change its mind."
