GRANTS for young people's groups in Rossendale and the Ribble Valley had agreed by the county council's cabinet.
More than £6,000 has been handed out to help fund activities to develop new skills for young people.
Vision in Waterfoot has been handed £2,000 to convert a large window into a wheelchair-accessible double door at Woodlea Youth Centre.
County Cllr Susie Charles, cabinet member for children, young people and schools, said: "We're pleased to fund these groups, which provide important community activities for young people across Lancashire.
"They give opportunities for young people to socialise, be more active and develop vital skills that will help them to grow their confidence and become more independent.
"Everyone involved with these groups does a fantastic job."
