PENDLE Leisure Trust has launched a new swimming academy programme.
The trust has made the decision to convert from the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme, which children currently follow, to the Swimming Teachers Association programme.
The change will embrace all areas of swimming, ensuring a standardised programme is delivered to all learners.
Christine Britton, Pendle Leisure Trust’s swimming coordinator, said: "I believe this fantastic new programme will further improve children’s swimming standards, as well as offer increased child enjoyment and additional teacher support.
"The new programme will have a slightly different awards structure, but our teachers have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition between the awarding bodies, so that every child’s swimming programme continues to the highest standard."
