PLANS have been drawn up to change office space into a training facility.

Mr Naeem Din has submitted plans to change the use of the third and second floor of Nelson’s Lomeshaye Bridge Mill, on Bridge Mill Road, into a mixed use of non-residential training offices.

At present the four storey mill, which operates Monday to Friday between 8am and 7pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm, consists of 250 square metres of office space.

The proposal is to reduce this to 40 square metres and introduce 230 square metres of space for a new training facility.

Neighbours have objected to the application on the grounds there is a constant stream of delivery vehicles and traffic from customers and workers of the Mill.

The proposed scheme will be discussed at the next Nelson committee meeting on January 8 at Nelson Town Hall from 7pm.
