Police given extra week to interview man arrested on suspicion of preparing for act of terrorism
POLICE have been given another week to question a man arrested on suspicion of preparing an act of terrorism.
A 31-year-old man was arrested in Nelson a week ago under section 40 of the Terrorism Act 2000 being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
Two properties on Leonard Street were searched in connection with the incident.
Officers have confirmed that they have been extra time to interview the man.
