A PARLIAMENTARY event discussing the value of Post Offices was attended by MP Andrew Stephenson.

The event, held at the House of Commons, showcased Post Office products and services to MPs from across the country, highlighting the access that branches provide to banking services and household bill payments.

The MP for Pendle said: “The event has proved really useful in highlighting just what an important role our Post Offices play, they are vital hubs in their local communities.

“These services are important for those in Pendle without easy access to transport, or those who are elderly or vulnerable in the community.

“That is certainly true in and around Pendle, where people often tell me how much they value the essential services that the Post Office provides, from mails to banking.

“I am proud that our Post Offices continue to give the community access to important amenities they value close to their doorsteps.”

Paula Vennells, Group Chief Executive of the Post Office said: “It was great to meet Andrew to talk about the range of services Post Office offers in the local community.

“ I am confident local Post Offices will continue to play a vital role in the community.”
