SCHOOL children in Nelson are to have more lessons outside after a new shelter was installed.
Youngsters at Bradley Primary School in Dover Street will be taught outside in the winter as well as the summer after the shelter was built by Darwen firm Canopies UK.
Headteacher Mike Hull said the shelter will allow them to have outdoor provision in all weathers.
He said: "It has made a big difference.
"There are lots of benefits to being outside.
"It is a bigger space and they learn the advantages of play co-operation and working with other children. It provides more opportunities for them.
"It is a fantastic resource that we have already been making good use of."
