PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has welcomed Lancashire County Council investing an additional £4.8million investment in secondary school places in the borough.
The investment, over three years, was agreed by the authority’s Cabinet on Thursday as part of an overall £47m Department for Education allocation.
Further proposals, including which schools will get the extra cash,.will be brought forward in the near future
Mr Stephenson said:“I welcome this much investment, many secondary schools are already oversubscribed and we need to provide the best possible facilities for future generations.”
He added: “I will work with our County Councillors to ensure this investment makes a real difference to our schools.”
