A PARTNERSHIP aimed at making Pendle safer is looking for volunteers.
Pendle Community Safety Partnership is seeking new members to help it make the borough a safer place to live and work.
Cllr David Whipp, chairman, said: “If you’re passionate about your area we need to hear from you.
“We’re looking for committed and motivated individuals to help us to deliver our priorities.
“We need people who are interested and informed about their area and who are prepared to make a positive contribution to community safety.
“In particular, we want to improve representation from a cross-section of the community to ensure that we meet the needs of all our residents.”
Pendle Community Safety Partnership meets four times a year to respond to emerging problems and crimes as well as to monitor the Partnership’s targets and actions.
Volunteers will be expected to attend all four meetings, attend community safety events, provide information and feedback to their communities they represent and become a champion to promote the aims and objectives of the partnership.
To become a community member email Geoff Whitehead geoff.whitehead@pendle.gov.uk with a summary of your skills and experience by noon on August 21.
