EVERY primary school pupil in Pendle will once again receive free swimming during the summer holidays.
Youngsters between five and 11 can enjoy a daily two-hour planned session at each of Pendle Leisure Trust’s pools.
The offer applies at Pendle Wavelengths in Nelson, Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne and West Craven Sports Centre in Barnoldswick during all school holidays this year.
The offer applies to all youngsters between five and 11 in Nelson, Brierfield, Barrowford, Barnoldswick, Earby, Kelbrook, Salterforth and Colne.
Hundreds of children took up the offer in the Easter and May half-term breaks.
Cllr Azhar Ali of Nelson said: “This is really important to get children confident in the water and get them active.”
The funding came from the county council's neighbourhood well-being initiative fund.
