A MAN who was banned by restraining order from contacting his ex-partner was found hiding under her bed at her Colne home.

Blackburn magistrates heard Lorenzo Hodgson admitted breaching the order since his release from a prison sentence imposed for an assault on Charlotte Hant.

Hodgson, 28, of Greenroyd Mills, Sutton -in-Craven, Keighley, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order.

He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said police received information that he was breaching the order and went to Miss Hant's home. She didn't reveal his presence but officers found him hiding under her bed.

Keith Rennison, defending, said Miss Hant had contacted his client, while he was in prison and they had maintained contact since his release.

"There has been contact but there have been no threats of violence or anything like that," said Mr Rennison. "Both parties have seen solicitors and there is going to be an application to the courts to remove the restraining order."
