Police have released CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to following a robbery in Nelson last month.

The robbery happened between 5.15pm and 5.30pm on November 17 when a 19-year-old man, was approached by two men as he walked through an underpass near Pendle Street.

It is believed the two offenders asked the victim for money and when the victim got out his wallet one of the males grabbed him by the arm and snatched the wallet from his hand.

The victim then handed over his phone before the pair ran off.

DC Hannah Tofalos of Burnley CID said: “We are keen to speak to the male pictured in the CCTV image as we believe he may have some information which could assist with our enquiries.

"If you recognise him or have any information about the incident then please contact us.”

A 17 year old boy from Nelson was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting crime reference EG1607131.
