A MAN used an axe to smash a shop window in Nelson, police say.
Officers are now hunting the man who fled the scene in Nelson town centre after smashing the window.
They have released CCTV images of someone they are looking to identify after the incident which happened at around 3am on Thursday.
A Lancshire Police spokesman said: "Nelson Neighbourhood Police are seeking the identity of the male in the black and white photo.
"The offender at 3am on Thursday smashed a shop window in Nelson town centre using an axe.
"After smashing the window the offender made off from the scene."
