MOTORISTS are facing traffic chaos through Colne as firefighters tackle a fire at a shop.
The incident happened at Grahame's Poultry in Market Street at around 3.50pm.
Firefighters from Colne station are still at the scene.
A police spokesman said nobody was trapped in either the shop or the flats above and they are not treating the fire as suspicious.
Police closed Market Street at the junction with Windy Bank, causing huge delays for over an hour, but it has since been reopened.
A police spokesman said: "We were called out about 3.50pm to reports of a shop on fire in Market Street Colne.
"Firefighters are currently at the scene. We have put a road block in place, meaning Market Street is closed at the junction with Windy Bank."
