A FEMALE driver was taken to hospital after her Ford Ka flipped over and ended up in a farmer's field earlier today.
Eyewitnesses alerted the emergency services after the vehicle crashed through a stone wall near the Old Stone Trough pub in Colne Road, Kelbrook, just before 2am.

Smoke was seen coming from the vicinity of the car but when crews from Barnoldswick and Earby stations arrived at the scene no blaze was ongoing.
Firefighters gave first aid to the woman at the roadside and it is believed she was taken to Airedale General Hospital by ambulance. No other vehicle was involved.
