FOUR people have been arrested after police used a stinger device to stop a car which had been reported stolen.
Police said at around midnight on Thursday a Citroen C5 which was taken during a burglary at an address on Oak Bank Terrace in Nelson on Wednesday, March 9 was spotted in the Blackpool area.
Officers followed the car and a stinger was later set up just off the Broughton junction of the M55.
The vehicle was stopped and the occupants ran off from the car, police said.
They were arrested nearby on suspicion of burglary and driving or allowing themselves to be carried in a stolen car.
A 31 year old man of no fixed address, a 23-year-old man from Nelson and a 19-year-old man and 16-year-old girl both from Burnley are all currently in custody.
