Stuart said: “I was delighted to be selected. This is a fantastic personal accolade, but also a great opportunity for my own business, which has just entered its second year of trading.

“The campaign focuses on barbering in the UK, something I am particularly passionate about; it’s good to be involved in taking modern barbering to the next level.”

Stuart shares his salon on Spring Lane with his sister Kia, who owns Hair by Kia-Melissa. Nelson-based REM UK Ltd is a leading supplier of products to the salon, beauty and spa industries.

The rise in traditional barbers led the company to diversify earlier this year producing quality British made furniture for the UK barbering industry. Trevor Lingard, commercial manager, said: “To support the retro-styling prevalent in the traditionally- styled barber shops, we chose Stuart to be our REM man and model throughout the campaign.

“His commitment to the barbering industry matches our own philosophy and we’re looking forward to working together on some exciting projects over the coming year.”
