RAIDERS smashed their way in to a football team’s club house, stole alcohol and squirted ketchup and milk all over the walls and carpets.
The break-in at Colne Football Club almost led to the cancellation of last night’s derby match against Nelson, but thanks to hard work by supporters and committee members the game went ahead.

Police have issued a witness appeal following the burglary, which happened between 8pm on Tuesday and 7am yesterday.
Raiders forced their way in to the groundsman’s store room and stole a sledge hammer which they used to smash windows to the bar.
Once inside they stole alcohol, confectionery and club artefacts. They also smashed CCTV equipment.
Whilst inside vandals poured cartons of milk on the carpets, squirted ketchup all over the walls and carpets and trashed the bar area. To add insult to injury they temporarily halted their destructive rampage to make a snack on the griddle.
The club, who play their home games at the The XLCR Stadium on Harrison Drive, last had a break-in on December 10. On that occasion cash, alcohol and a television worth a combined £713. Nobody was ever arrested for that.
