POLICE in Pendle want to speak to a motorist who allegedly asked a teenage boy to get into his car for two days in a row.

PC Nigel Keates said the driver, described as a balding man in his late 40s, was in a silver or grey coloured car in Church Lane, Sough, on May 24 and May 25. On both days, he offered the same boy a lift between 4pm and 5pm.

Lancashire police said although no specific offences had been revealed, they would like to speak to the driver to further their enquiries. There has been one unconfirmed sighting of the driver last Tuesday.

PC Keates said: “If anyone has information that could lead to us speaking with the driver or has witnessed either event, please contact Lancashire police on 101 and quote log number 0934 of May 24. Please do not leave any evidential comments on Facebook as they may thwart efforts to secure conviction should that indeed be necessary.”
