PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has cancelled his April advice surgeries as he remains in hospital, 10 days after undergoing surgery to remove a perforated, gangrenous appendix.
The Conservative MP’s family thanked people who have sent him ‘get well messages’ via his Twitter account since he was admitted to hospital on March 28 with the advanced form of appendicitis.
On Mr Stephenson’s behalf, his staff tweeted yesterday: “?@Andrew4Pendle remains in hospital 10 days after surgery to remove a perforated gangrenous appendix.
“Visits currently limited to family only.”
On Wednesday, the Stephenson family tweeted: “Thank you for everyone who has sent get well messages.
“He's still in hospital and very sick, but some improvement on yesterday.”
