WORK on the construction of new offices for manufacturing firm Wardle Storeys in Earby has begun.
Planning approval for the work was given by Pendle Council last year and Barnfield Construction hopes to have the new offices completed later this year.
Wardle Storeys was formed in 1945 and is a leading employer within Earby, employing 250 people, 65 of whom live in the town.
Daniel Jackson, associate at Indigo Planning, who have assisted Barnfield Construction, said: “This decision means that Wardle Storeys can continue to operate at the forefront of this specialist area, remain competitive and secure important local jobs.”
Tim Webber, managing director of the Barnfield Group, said: “These are exciting times for Wardle Storeys and we look forward to working in partnership with them in order to achieve these plans and deliver the long- term vision.”
