Nelson man cleared of charges

1:18pm Wednesday 13th February 2013 in Pendle

ZESHAN Ali, 27, of Carr Road, Nelson, was cleared of allegations against him, at Burnley Crown Court.

Judge Beverley Lunt recorded not guilty verdicts after the prosecution offered no evidence on charges of assault and damage.

Allegations of attempting to pervert the course of justice, and assault causing actual bodily harm, were also dropped.

You obviously did not read my post before it got deleted. It was where I was sharing with the like's of you that the police have a target they have to reach in the number of arrests they make and my experience with the police when I was arrested 10 years ago but cleared of all wrong doing when I was dragged out of my vehicle resulting in the offernder with a busted nose and decorations on his belly that even Monet would rate me exceptionally gifted, and I was in my 70's!, and infact my post was in reply to one concerned reader who questioned why this guy was prosecuted in the first place.

Remember this aleevio, self defence is also regarded as an assault unless proven that you were/or being in the 'process' of being assaulted. The fool drag me, and I mean literally open my vehicle door and tried to pull me out of my vehicle but was prevented by my seat belt. He then took 'swipes' at my face. At that point I knew I had to react and so used reasonable force to paralyse him.
The courts upheld my arguement and dropped all charges, but it's the embarrasemnt when my name appeared in the papers but luckily it was only a small caption and on the 7th page!

The moron was in the on coming vehicle and I had pulled in to allow traffic to flow, in a narrrow lane, Manor Rd to be precise. So I was kind of blocked in, and I had a witness who was a buliding contractor renovating a house on the opposite side.
It seems I'm once again 'in the dock'!
