Pendle businesses urged to access Regional Growth Fund
3:05pm Friday 1st February 2013 in Pendle
PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson is urging Pendle businesses to apply for funding from the Regional Growth Fund.
The Government fund is aimed at stimulating enterprise by providing support for projects which offer potential for economic growth and employment in the private sector. The bids for funding will close on March 20.
Mr Stephenson said: “The Chancellor announced in his autumn statement £350 million for the Regional Growth Fund, so we’re talking about a significant amount of money. I’d urge any Pendle-based businesses with expansion plans which will benefit the local economy and create employment to consider applying, but they’ll have to act fast. It’s a great opportunity to bring extra investment to our area to create jobs and grow business.”
Pendle businesses can find out more by visiting www.gov.uk and searching Regional Growth Fund.
