WITH people now booking their summer holidays, Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson is urging people to book an ATOL-protected trip.

The ATOL (Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing) scheme protects against the risk of a travel company going bust, ensuring they can continue their holiday and return home safely if the company collapses while they are away, or providing refunds if they’re yet to travel. Mr Stephenson said: “Whilst no-one thinks about their travel company going bust, this happens surprisingly often and the ATOL scheme is a simple way of protecting yourself against being left out of pocket.

“Anyone wishing to book an ATOL-protected air holiday can check if a company provides protection by looking for the ATOL logo on their promotional material, or searching the company’s name at www.packpeaceofmind.co.uk.”
