AN open day explaining what Pendle Leisure Trust has to offer takes place on Saturday at the ACE Centre, Nelson, from 10am to 4pm.

Phil Storey, Pendle Leisure Trust’s chief executive, said: “The trust was formed in October 2000 to work in partnership with Pendle Council to protect and develop leisure services in the borough. To think we have been doing this for 13 years is amazing and I believe the trust has a right to be proud of its achievements so far.

“We have seen new gyms built at Pendle Leisure Centre and West Craven Sports Centre, the £3million development at Pendle Wavelengths, including Inside Spa and the new gym, as well as the management of the ACE Centre and the introduction of community activities such as Healthy Lifestyles, Arts Development and Sports Development.

This open day is a chance to meet the people responsible for running these facilities.
