Hasligden bypass closed because of ice (From Lancashire Telegraph)

The Grane road was also like a skid pad this morning - it didnt appear to have been gritted

The gritters were delayed? Surely, a busy trunk road as the haslingden by-pass should be a gritting priority? Methinks the council is telling porkies...

We hit ice around 9.30 last night on this same road

another council not fit for purpose, what happend ?? it was only minus 3, we have had temps as low as minus 10 last yr, Cant do it wont do it attitude,
Spare grit at the cost of motorist and Pedestrian lives, your a disgrace, and now its a 50:50 mix of sand and salt so were still being short changed on the roads.

Sorry to say but the A56 is not maintained by any council it is maintained by the highways agency.

In the case of grit bein 50:50 mix of sand and salt how would you know do you work for the highways agency, Lancashire County Council or Blackburn with Darwen council

Sorry to say but the A56 is not maintained by any council it is maintained by the highways agency.
