ENTERPRISING teenagers from across Lancashire will sell handmade gifts in Nelson Indoor Market Hall tomorrow.

They are all involved in the Young Enterprise Company Programme and their individual school groups will compete for business from 10am to 3.30pm.

Liberata, which manages the market halls, has offered each school a stall in the market and, following a ‘mystery shopper’ exercise, will donate £100 to who they deem to have created the best stall.

Nelson cost reduction and purchase management company Businesswise Solutions, which is already supporting five schools throughout the year-long programme, has agreed to fund flyers which the pupils can give out in order to attract visitors to the stalls.

Tony Hewitt, Young Enterprise manager for the Lancashire area, said: “While some won’t have their actual business products ready for tomorrow, they have proved their ability to think outside the box and come up with ideas suited to the Christmas shoppers, and we think they will like what they are offering.”
