Opera crew in festive Brierfield music show

FORMER members of Pendle Opera are coming together this festive season.

The renamed Pendle Voices will present Christmas Is Coming, a cafe-style concert at Brierfield Methodist Church, on Sunday, December 9, at 7.30pm.

In addition to the Voices, young guest artists will be on the bill.

Jazz trio Pacific Lamppost are A Level students from Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School who create their own arrangements for piano, bass guitar and drums.

Baritone Andrew Tunney was discovered by local baritone Peter Walker, when he joined St Cuthbert’s Church choir and, after a solo at the church for its Easter celebrations, he was put forward for audition at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he now studies with one of their associate tutors.

Tickets for the concert cost £6 for adults, £3 children, including a pie and pea supper. Call 01282 424039 or 01282 777947 to book.
