PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has launched his annual Christmas card competition for local primary school pupils.
The chosen design will be re-produced on the front of Mr Stephenson’s official Christmas card which goes to hundreds of people including local councillors, Government agencies and fellow MPs.
He said: “I am delighted that the Marsden Building Society has again agreed to sponsor this year’s competition, meaning that the prizes on offer are better than ever before.
“First prize will be a children’s bike of their choice (up to the value of £150). Second and third place prizes are being arranged along with ten further prizes of £10 worth of book vouchers for highly commended entries.
“As a bonus, the school which submits the winning design will receive a 16x12-inch stained glass panel replica of the design, generously created by local artist Nick Moore.”
To enter, children’s designs must be returned to Andrew’s Nelson office at 9 Cross Street, Nelson, BB9 7EN, by November 26. The winning design will be chosen on November 27.
