Woman left shaken by Nelson 'kiss' assault

A WOMAN was left ‘shaken’ following a sexual assault in Nelson.
Officers are appealing for information following the incident, which happened in the subway underpass between Nelson bus station and Hibson Road, on Friday November 2, at about 2.30pm.
The victim, aged 30, was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette.
After smoking together, the man kissed the woman against her will and continued to kiss her while she backed off.
Sgt Tim Hitchen, from Nelson police, said: “The victim has been left feeling shaken following what can only be described as a traumatic experience.”
