Burnley and Pendle Faith Centre is holding sessions to highlight a number of religions during its interfaith event.
The event running to Tuesday, November 27, aims to showcase the rich cultures across East Lancashire.
A showcase of children’s work from local schools, madrassas and churches across the area will be available for viewing through out the week at the Faith Centre, in Barden Lane, Burnley.
A ‘Meet the Projects’ event will take place at the Faith Centre between 11am 3pm.
The session will offer members of the community a chance to identify volunteering opportunities within organisations such as the Emmaus Project, the Food Bank, Faith Friends, Street Pastors, Building Bridges Burnley, The Bridge Project, Pennine Community Farm and Pendleside Hospice.
The faith centre will also host Nasheed classes between 3pm and 4pm – weekly Islamic vocal music and poetry lessons delivered to Barden Primary school pupils by students from Thomas Whitham Sixth Form.
A ‘Singing for the Soul’ session will also run between 7pm and 8.30pm.
