Clean up plan for land in Barnoldswick

COUNCIL bosses are to ask Gissing and Lonsdale to clear up a patch of their land at Ravenscroft Way, in Barnoldswick.

Helen Garnett, planning officer at Pendle Council, said: “This is an established industrial site located at the junction of Rookery Road and Valley Road.

“The yard area is currently used to store what appear to be both used and unused machinery and materials in relation to the business.

“The site is adjacent to a number of residential properties and is also highly visible from public vantage points.

“With this in mind, the yard area would benefit from some improvement and tidying to ensure the appearance is acceptable.”

The owners are to be contacted and asked to undertake the work to the yard.
