A FOOTPATH linking St John’s Church to Hallam Crescent, in Nelson, could be improved if £3,000 funding is given from the Nelson Area Committee.
Tom Partridge, Pendle Council’s countryside access officer, said: “The public footpath runs from the church, in Barkerhouse Road, to a point near Hallam Crescent, in Hallam Road. The proposal is to improve the first 65m of the footpath from Barkerhouse Road to a point on the path near the vicarage. Work will include laying a wide surfaced path, providing shared access for pedestrians and vehicles visiting the former vicarage, now a residential care home.”
