EAST Lancashire’s hospitals have offered extra hours to their nurses in a bid to maintain staffing levels and reduce spending on agency workers.
Part-timers have the chance to increase their hours, staff on 36-hour contracts have been offered 37.5 hours, and staff have been told they can ‘buy back’ annual leave.
