CONCERNS about staffing shortages at East Lancashire’s hospitals were raised 66 times in February, including one ‘red flag’ report.
Chief nurse Chris Pearson has started recording concerns reported by staff in the hospitals’ monthly board papers.
The February figures were an improvement from the 89 incidents reported in January. The red flag incident related to staff having to work through their breaks. Mrs Pearson said: “On review of the result of this incident, no harm was caused to patients.”
