Author blasts Tory leaders
OUTSPOKEN author Jeanette Winterson has blasted the government in a Twitter rant.
The Hyndburn-born writer of Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit wrote on the social network site: “Osborne on austerity cuts: ‘Has the world fallen in? No it has not.’ “Depends whose world, George..”
In another tweet, she said: “Tory business minister Matt Hancock says food bank use [is] rising because ‘more people know about them’.
“Why would they need to know, eh Matt?”.
