THE head of St Paul’s School in Nelson has praised a former pupil who was awarded a level 6 in his maths SATS test.
Eisah Suleman, 11, was entered into a higher level maths test and became one of the first children in the school to achieve the high mark.
Headteacher Stephen Crook said: “Eisah is a very bright boy and has a matching personality.
“He did very well indeed and part of his success was the very healthy relationship that school had with his parents who were incredibly supportive – something we try to foster here at St Paul’s and which is always an advantage to a child’s all- round development.
“Eisah wasn’t only academic, he also took a leading role in the end-of-year production, too.
“Myself and the staff here at St Paul’s are very proud of him and his class mates, all of whom did very well in their SATS this year. We wish all of them every blessing as they begin their high school life.”
