RESIDENTS have been left reeling after a spate of six burglaries hit Clitheroe.
The homes were targeted overnight on Tuesday and police believe the break-ins were conducted by the same gang.
A handbag and a purse were stolen from a home in Princess Avenue and an iPhone 5 and a Samsung Galaxy phone were taken from a property in Woone Lane along with credit cards. A purse, £40 in cash and $150 in US Dollars were also taken from a home in Shawbridge Street.
A house in Kemple View was also targeted as well as two in Highfield Road.
Sgt Craig Jarrett of Clitheroe Police said: “We think that the incidents are all connected and were carried out by the same people. Inquires are on going and we are working on some leads.”
