A MAN who was the victim of a robbery on his mobility scooter has died just days after his wife, police said.
The 82-year-old had £250 taken from him in the incident in Galligreaves Street, Blackburn on Friday, August 29.
Police said that the day after the robbery, the victim’s wife took ill and she died last Friday.
He was then admitted to hospital the next day and died on Monday.
It is not suggested that the deaths had anything to do with the robbery.
Two men, Stephen McLeish, 32 and John Carroll, 36, both Stansfeld Street, Blackburn, have been charged with robbery and are due to appear at Preston Crown Court on Monday October 13.
